In July 2025, China's tungsten products export business continued to recover. Exports of tungsten trioxides, tungsten hexafluoride, tungstates, carbides of tungsten, and tungsten powders showed month-on-month increases, while exports of unwrought tungsten, tungsten wire, and cemented carbide tools experienced month-on-month decreases.
According to data compiled by Chinatungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, in July 2025, China's exports of tungsten products (excluding cemented carbide tools and tungsten halogen lamps) reached 1,692.69 tons, a year-on-year increase of 25.15% compared to July 2024, and a month-on-month increase of 34.06% compared to June 2025. The export value amounted to RMB 547 million, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 29.49% and a month-on-month increase of 30.91%.
In July 2025, China exported:
Tungstic acid: 40.66 tons, a year-on-year increase of 111.74%, and a month-on-month increase of 1.64%.
Tungsten trioxides: 140 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 23.92%, but a month-on-month increase of 600.00%.
Tungsten hexafluoride: 36.48 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 19.95%, but a month-on-month increase of 117.99%.
Ammonium paratungstate: 41 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 55.34%, but a month-on-month increase of 2.50%.
Sodium tungstate: 77.23 tons, compared to 1 ton in the same period last year and 100 kg in June 2025.
Ammonium metatungstate: 370.66 tons, a year-on-year increase of 161.19%, and a month-on-month increase of 22.25%.
Carbides of tungsten: 367.28 tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.49%, and a month-on-month increase of 82.01%.
Ferro-tungsten: 125.00 tons, a year-on-year increase of 303.23%, and a month-on-month increase of 4.78%.
Tungsten powders: 167.50 tons, a year-on-year increase of 25.65%, and a month-on-month increase of 20.98%.
Unwrought tungsten, including bars & rods obtained simply by sintering: 188.09 tons, a year-on-year increase of 262.26%, but a month-on-month decrease of 10.52%.
Tungsten wire: 31.19 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.88%, and a month-on-month decrease of 12.80%.
Tungsten waste and scrap: 40.73 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.83%, and a month-on-month increase of 0.07%.
Bars & rods, exclude those obtained simply by sintering; profiles, plates, etc.: 34.89 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 40.34%, but a month-on-month increase of 26.17%.
Additionally, in July 2025, China exported:
Knives and cutting blades, for machines or for mechanical appliances, of metal carbides, coated or plated: 131.04 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 19.84%, and a month-on-month decrease of 4.43%.
Other knives and cutting blades, for machines or for mechanical appliances, of metal carbides: 152.78 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 18.81%, and a month-on-month decrease of 1.17%.
