According to data compiled by Chinatungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, in the third quarter of 2025, China's exports of tungsten products (excluding cemented carbide tools and tungsten halogen lamps) totaled 4,697.33 tons, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 8.77% compared to the third quarter of 2024, and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 19.19% compared to the second quarter of 2025. The export value reached RMB 1.601 billion, showing a year-on-year increase of 21.82% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 29.75%.
From July to September 2025, China exported the following tungsten products:
Tungstic acid: 99.11 tons, a year-on-year increase of 133.74% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 125.24%.
Tungsten trioxides: 602.59 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 23.47% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 2,912.94%.
Other tungsten oxides & hydroxides, nes: 220.00 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 33.39% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 449.98%.
Tungsten hexafluoride: 86.60 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 33.39% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 12.29%.
Ammonium paratungstate: 60.00 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 70.87% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 50.00%.
Sodium tungstate: 191.02 tons, showing significant increases both year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter.
Ammonium metatungstate: 747.70 tons, a year-on-year increase of 69.16% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 36.43%.
Carbides of tungsten: 783.33 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 24.30% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 163.75%.
Ferro-tungsten: 367.35 tons, a year-on-year increase of 29.81% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 51.96%.
Tungsten powders: 440.34 tons, a year-on-year increase of 65.95% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 77.28%.
Unwrought tungsten, including bars & rods obtained simply by sintering: 668.85 tons, a year-on-year increase of 222.93% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 21.82%.
Tungsten wire: 112.40 tons, a year-on-year increase of 17.01% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 9.48%.
Tungsten waste and scrap: 86.13 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 38.48% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 6.96%.
Bars & rods, excluding those obtained simply by sintering; profiles, plates, sheets, strips, and foils: 105.83 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 55.90% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 30.51%.
Additionally, from July to September 2025, China exported:
Knives and cutting blades, for machines or mechanical appliances, of metal carbides, coated or plated: 385.45 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.40% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 5.28%.
Other knives and cutting blades, for machines or mechanical appliances, of metal carbides: 420.92 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 11.34% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 14.06%.
