中國(guó)は1日、北京の天安門広場(chǎng)で行った建國(guó)60周年記念軍事パレードで、中距離・長(zhǎng)距離核ミサイルなど戦略兵器を含む國(guó)産先端兵器63種を披露し、國(guó)防力に対する強(qiáng)い自信を示した。人民日?qǐng)?bào)の姉妹紙「環(huán)球時(shí)報(bào)」が報(bào)じたところによると、この日公開された兵器はすべて中國(guó)が獨(dú)自技術(shù)で開発したもので、このうち36種は初公開だという。
中國(guó)はこの日、米國(guó)本土を直接攻撃できる射程距離1萬(wàn)200キロの「東風(fēng)31A」大陸間弾道ミサイル（ICBM）を初めて公開した。東風(fēng)31Aは、建國(guó)50周年に當(dāng)たる1999年に初公開された「東風(fēng)31」の改良型で、核弾頭3個(gè)を搭載している。また、地上攻撃用巡航ミサイル（LACM）「長(zhǎng)剣10」や、中距離核弾頭ミサイル「東風(fēng)21C」も姿を見せた。この日公開されたミサイルは合わせて5種・108基に上り、10年前の建國(guó)50周年の際に公開された36基に比べ3倍に増えている。中國(guó)が、新型兵器の大挙公開という前例のない行為に出たのは、世界第2位の経済力にふさわしい軍事力を內(nèi)外に誇示するものだと解釈されている。梁光烈國(guó)防相は、「西側(cè)先進(jìn)國(guó)が持っている各種の兵器を、既に基本的に保有しており、一部の兵器は世界最高水準(zhǔn)」と自負(fù)した。
胡錦濤國(guó)家主席は記念式典で、「中國(guó)は60年の間、あらゆる苦難と試練に勝利し、世界が注目する業(yè)績(jī)を成し遂げた。中華民族の偉大な復(fù)興を確信している。中華民族の念願(yuàn)である祖國(guó)統(tǒng)一のため、両岸（中國(guó)と臺(tái)灣）関係の発展も継続して推進(jìn)する」と語(yǔ)った。
記念式典は1日午前10時(shí)、60発の祝砲に続き、8000人の將兵が參加する軍事パレードで始まった。胡主席はこの日、1臺(tái)5億2000萬(wàn)ウォン（約3976萬(wàn)円）もする中國(guó)製の高級(jí)リムジン「紅旗」に乗って閲兵し、注目を集めた。
軍事パレードに続いて執(zhí)り行われた各界の関係者10萬(wàn)人の行進(jìn)では、中國(guó)歴代の最高指導(dǎo)者の大型肖像畫や政権獲得當(dāng)時(shí)のスローガンが書かれた大型パネルなどの行列が順に通り過ぎた。
同日夜8時(shí)には、天安門広場(chǎng)の特設(shè)舞臺(tái)で、映畫監(jiān)督の張蕓謀氏が演出し6萬(wàn)人余りが參加した大規(guī)模な祝賀公演が行われた。
公演は、習(xí)近平國(guó)家副主席の夫人で歌手のポン・リーユアンや香港の俳優(yōu)ジャッキー・チェンらが熱唱する中、胡主席や江沢民前主席ら中國(guó)の指導(dǎo)部が全員広場(chǎng)に降りてきて公演団と共に踴るイベントで幕を下ろした。
